The first batch of rapeseed for the LIKE-A-PRO project just arrived the Fraunhofer CBP in Leuna where the hulls were removed in their pilot plant.
"From the final seeds we will extract the oil and produce a protein-rich meal as an alternative protein resource for our partners in the project who will use them as ingredient for healthy and sustainable food products," says Robert Hartmann, Group Manager Biomass Fractionation at Fraunhofer Center for Chemical-Biotechnological Processes CBP.
